Four times a year we invite rising stars and star chefs to cook a six-course menu with Torben Bouterse and his kitchen team. These guest chef events have been created to continue to culinary surprise the guests of Hemingway.

Dennis Huwaë


Daalder's fantastic kitchen team is led by patron-cuisinier, Dennis Huwaë. He challenges his team to set the bar as high as possible, to practice culinary top sport, as it were.

In that sense, not much has changed for Huwaë since his 2-star time. For him, creating a dish remains a search for the perfect combination of ingredients that reinforce and complement each other. He goes so far in striving for perfection when creating a new dish that he – in his own words – goes in search of “the inner beauty” of each ingredient. And wants to bring out the best of these ingredients.

Syrco Bakker

 

Syrco Bakker, chef and creative, born on November 14, 1984, grew up in Oisterwijk. This artistic talent has never been idle before, always working and looking for more.

During the training to become a catering entrepreneur, Syrco fully immersed himself in the profession of chef and seized the opportunity to gain experience in various restaurants during the holiday. As a cooking nomad, Syrco traveled through Europe to develop further in the best restaurants and then steamed up to become sous chef at Sergio Herman in the three-star restaurant Oud Sluis.

Since 2010, Syrco has been a chef at Pure C** in Cadzand and he continues to surprise his guests with his refined and innovative creations.
